Current projects

  • Rutgers, The Netherlands: Global Early Adolescent Study: Longitudinal Measurement of Health and Wellbeing Among Urban Standard 6 Learners’.
  • ALERT: ‘Action Leveraging Evidence to Reduce perinatal mortality and morbidity in sub-Saharan Africa’ (Alert) has been approved with Horizon 2020. The research will begin in January 2020 for a period of 5 years.
  • Population Council – Assessing Outreach and retention into DREAMS programming and HIV risk reduction among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) and male partners of AGYW in Machinga and Zomba
  • NIHR global health research group on preterm birth and stillbirth at the University of Edinburgh (the DIPLOMATIC collaboration)  – Reduce preterm births and stillbirths, and optimise outcomes for babies born preterm in Malawi. The focus is on introducing of first trimester ultra sound scans at health centres, to accurately determine gestation. Measure the feasbility and acceptability to introduce scans.
  • CRH also works on various sexual and reproductive health consultancy based projects
